HOW LONG IS THE ESTIMATE GOOD FOR?
Once a sales consultant has created an estimate for your renovation project, we can honor that estimate for 6 months from the date of the remodel estimate’s creation.
DOES THE ESTIMATE COST ROLL INTO MY REMODEL PROJECT IF I CHOOSE TO GO WITH NVS?
Yes! If you choose to have NVS remodel your home, your estimate cost will be rolled into the cost of your project.
WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?
Checks, and, for our client’s convenience, NVS does accept Master Card and Visa as payment. An additional processing fee of 3% will be added at the time of charge.
DOES NVS OFFER FINANCING OPTIONS?
NVS does not directly offer financing options, but we have relationships with several banks that can work with clients on financing larger projects.
WHO WILL TAKE CARE OF SECURING PERMITS?
Sit back, rest easy, and peruse tile samples. NVS’s office team will secure all permits leaving you to focus on only the fun parts of a remodel project (don’t worry, our designers will be there to help you with selections).
CAN YOU PROVIDE ME A LIST OF YOUR TRUSTED SUPPLIERS?
Yes! We can provide this list upon request. Our suppliers have been thoroughly vetted by our team and come with the backing and recommendation of NVS.
WHAT WILL BE THE ESTIMATED TIMETABLE FOR MY PROJECT?
These are estimated time frames, but we find that most remodeling projects take roughly a certain time depending on the homeowner’s selections.
- Kitchens: 6-7 weeks
- Master: 5-6 weeks
- Hall: 3-4 weeks
- Basements: 8 weeks
- Additions and Bump-outs: 8 to 16 weeks
HOW DO YOU LIKE TO COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR CLIENTS? HOW OFTEN DO YOU ANTICIPATE THAT WE WOULD TALK/EMAIL OR MEET IN PERSON?
During design, there will be a schedule provided and approved by the whole team. This will make sure that everyone is on the same page with the speed at which we work through the design process. We are available to go with clients to help pick out tile and granite.
During the construction of your project, there will be an NVS lead carpenter on site every day. Before the job begins we will discuss the best way to communicate during construction.
WHO WILL MANAGE MY PROJECT? WILL THEY BE AVAILABLE TO ANSWER MY QUESTIONS? WILL THEY BE ON THE JOB SITE REGULARLY?
Your project team consists of your sales consultant, designer, lead carpenter, and project manager. Lead carpenters will manage your project and be available every day. They are on the job site daily.
WILL THE WORKERS ARRIVE IN UNIFORM AND IN A MARKED VAN?
Our employees wear NVS shirts, jackets, and hats and announce themselves as NVS employees on your job site. While our delivery vehicles are lettered with our logo and information, not all of our employee vehicles (like private vehicles) are lettered.
HOW CAN I PREPARE MY HOME FOR THE PROJECT?
Great question! Move items from the work area that a fragile, valuable, or have a special significance to you. While our employees take care to protect your items, we don’t want them near swinging hammers if we don’t have to.
During the pre-construction meeting, we will discuss work hours, packing, access to the home, security codes, storage areas, pets, and neighbors.
CAN I LIVE IN MY HOME DURING RENOVATION?
Most of our clients stay in their homes during the remodeling project! There are some exceptions for additions and large remodel projects where clients might need to move to a part of the house not impacted by construction or to a hotel. Depending on your remodel, we do our best to help you accommodate to the project like setting up a mini-kitchen should you get your kitchen remodeled.
CAN I LEAVE MY BELONGINGS IN MY HOME DURING THE RENOVATION?
Most of the time we can consolidate items into room unaffected by construction, but some clients have chosen to rent a storage pod for the duration of the remodel if they have a lot of displaced belongings during the project.
WHAT DAYS AND HOURS ARE YOU PLANNING TO WORK?
Construction hours are Monday-Friday from 7:00 am – 3:30 pm. If we need to work later in the afternoon or on a weekend we will only do so with our client’s permission.
DOES YOUR TEAM CLEAN UP THE SITE AT THE END OF EACH DAY?
Absolutely. We keep our job sites (your home) clean and organized during and after the remodel.
