Last Update: January 2022

Dear Clients,

We are reaching out to our valued clients and friends to let you know how NVS is responding to the Coronavirus/COVID‐19 situation. At NVS we take this situation very seriously and are monitoring the CDC’s website for daily updates on the Coronavirus. As always, the safety of our employees, clients, trade partners (subcontractors), and vendors is of the utmost importance. We are implementing and updating our policies and procedures to ensure safe practices while continuing to provide our clients with the high level of service that has been expected of NVS over our many years in business.

We are relying on the CDC’s website and other government health officials for the most accurate and up-to-date information available so that our decisions are the best for all involved. As more information becomes available, we may need to adjust our course of action and will update our communications when necessary.

We understand that to provide these high levels of safety and service, changes must be made in the way we conduct business for the short term. For this reason, we are implementing the following policies to adapt to the ever‐changing challenges brought to us by the Coronavirus:

Casey Saunders, project manager at NVS Kitchen and Bath, shows us the covid-19 precautions the team is taking on each jobsite.

    General:

  • All employees have been instructed to work remotely when possible, and employees who cannot work remotely have been instructed on social distancing as recommended by the CDC.
  • Employees who have symptoms and do not feel well are required to stay at home. If an employee does become sick NVS will alert fellow employees, clients, trade partners and vendors with whom the employee has had contact.
  • Our employees and Trade Partners have been encouraged to take the vaccine, and to wear a mask when they’re around others.
    Showrooms:

  • All high contact surfaces, such as doorknobs, railings, counters, and other commonly used items in our showrooms and offices will be disinfected daily or as needed.
  • Both our Manassas and McLean showrooms will remain open, following guidelines of having no more than 10 people in one area. To assist with this, we ask that clients kindly call our showroom prior to visiting, to ensure a safe and comfortable experience.
    Job Sites:

  • Employees and trade partners have been instructed to wash their hands with soap and hot water for at least the minimum recommended 20 seconds and have been provided with instructions on proper handwashing techniques.
  • Jobsites will be disinfected at the end of each workday and more frequently, as needed.
  • As always, job protection is used on our jobsites to separate the work areas from other areas of the home. Our protection includes plastic zip walls, HEPA filters, and TakMat flooring protection.
  • If you would like to discuss additional job protection, hygiene concerns or bathroom usage, please do not hesitate to speak with your Lead Carpenter or Project Manager – or call us here at the office.
    In-Home Consultations and Design Meetings:

  • NVS sales consultants and designers will continue to conduct home visits as needed and requested by clients. Our employees will; limit their time in your home, disinfect their hands with alcohol‐based hand sanitizer before entering your home, wipe surfaces that required touching with disinfecting wipes and/or spray areas with a disinfecting spray. If you prefer, they can also wear a mask and/or gloves.

NVS Kitchen & Bath will remain open to serve the needs of our clients. We may not be fully staffed at all times, but our sales associates and design team will be available via phone or email to answer any questions regarding your project. We are also implementing some creative solutions, such as virtual design review and/or selection services. This will keep our design process moving should a client be unable to meet in person.

We appreciate your understanding during this difficult time for our nation, and for your patience in working with us as we adjust to this ever‐changing situation. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out—we are here to help. Having been in business for 34 years NVS has weathered many storms. We are confident that our country and world can get through this if we all work together and follow the CDC’s recommendations.

Stay well,

Glen Miracle
