When it comes to remodeling, you really don’t know what you’ve got ’til the old one’s gone. Such is the case when it comes to kitchens. We so see many beautiful kitchens; however, the true beauty really lies in the difference between what our clients had to what they now have.
Here’s a few of our favorite kitchen remodel before and afters. The difference is amazing. In some instances, it doesn’t even look like there’s a remote chance that these photos could be taken of the same space, and yet they are! In our first kitchen, the clients wanted to cure some dead space that their original design created. The dining room was a drop zone for backpacks and paperwork, but in the redesign, the space opened up allowing the room to function again.
Next up – this beautiful Burke kitchen we just completed. The 1980s design left a lot of walls and closed spaces – not good for a growing family with two adorable girls who needed the watchful eye of a parent. Our design team did what they do best – swing hammers into walls – and really opened up this space revealing a contemporary kitchen and dining area fit for a family of four. If you’re wondering – those are Dura Supreme cabinets in a Hickory Morel stain.
Not so secretly a crowd favorite, this kitchen when from drab to modern-fab. They brightened up the space with color and lighting and migrated to a grey color palette with contrasting island cabinetry. The backsplash adds an additional surprise and texture really making this kitchen a unique space.
From classic nightmare to classic kitchen, we see this simple builder’s grade design repeat itself all over Northern Virginia. The homeowners wanted to keep a classic design, but one that actually worked in the 21st century. The results are stunning. From builder’s grade to A+ all the way around. Not pictured – their additional deck remodel!
Also our most liked remodel project on Houzz, this kitchen is an awesome example of what minor upgrades can really do for a space. Notice – they didn’t move anything! The island remained the same, the stove is in the same place, but the difference in these upgrades makes it look like an entirely new home.
This striking kitchen was the centerpiece for our 2017 Remodel Reveal in Clifton and you can see why. The homeowners asked “for the biggest piece of granite they can make” and we were to design the kitchen around it. And oh boy – did it turn out amazing. The kitchen’s centerpiece became the island and everything worked together to function beautifully.
